How precisely should I specify the viscosity grade?
Give the grade your formulation requires, including any target and tolerance. An acceptable tolerance can widen the sourcing options.
Why do you ask about origin preferences?
Some blenders need products from approved refineries or consistency between deliveries. Tell us if this applies to you. If there is no origin restriction, let us know so we can consider more options.
Do you need to know the intended use?
It helps. Automotive lubricants, industrial oils and process applications can have requirements that the group and viscosity grade alone do not cover.
Does packaging affect a base oil enquiry?
Yes. Bulk, flexitank, IBC and drum deliveries have different freight, handling and storage requirements. Tell us the format your blending plant can receive and the quantity per delivery.
