Sourcing, commercial terms and delivery coordination.Single cargo / Term supply

From requirement to coordination

Four steps.
From enquiry to delivery.

Each step explains what we do and what we need from you.

01Understand

Confirm your requirements.

Tell us the product specification, quantity, destination and delivery dates. Include any preferred origins and priorities such as cost or timing.

What we do & what we need

What we do

  • Review your requirements and assess what can be sourced
  • Clarify the details that affect supply and price before quoting
  • Tell you if we cannot help with your requirements

What we need from you

  • The required specification as well as the product name
  • Quantity and unit
  • Destination port or country, and the delivery window

02Source

Look for suitable supply.

We use our sourcing experience and business relationships to identify suppliers and options that fit your requirements.

What we do & what we need

What we do

  • Contact potential suppliers for your specification and destination
  • Compare supply options instead of relying on one supplier
  • Keep you informed about supply options and limitations

What we need from you

  • Origin preferences or restrictions, if you have them
  • Whether this is a single cargo or recurring supply
  • Documents required by your organisation or the destination

03Structure

Discuss the commercial terms.

We discuss and negotiate pricing, delivery, payment and contract terms for a single cargo or long-term supply, including any flexibility you need.

04Coordinate

Coordinate the trade and delivery.

We help coordinate the agreed trade and logistics, taking account of your destination and delivery requirements.

What we do & what we need

  • Follow the agreed steps through to delivery
  • Raise problems early to help avoid extra costs

What we need from you

  • Receiving details and any site or port constraints

  • Updates on any changes to delivery dates or destination

Step 03, in detail

Where the price comes from.

In step three, we discuss the market reference, the adjustment for your cargo and what the price includes. The pricing page explains these parts and what to send for a price indication.

Questions about
the process.

What should I include in my first enquiry?

Include the product, specification, quantity and unit, destination and delivery dates. Also tell us about any preferred origin or refinery, and whether cost, speed or flexibility is your priority.

Can you discuss both one-off and recurring supply?

Yes. Express Petroleum works on single-cargo transactions and long-term supply requirements. Share the quantity, frequency and delivery window you have in mind.

Can I specify a preferred origin or delivery basis?

Yes. Include your preferred origin or delivery terms in the enquiry. We will consider them when checking suitability and availability.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

We review your requirements and assess what can be sourced, and we clarify the details that affect supply and price before quoting. If we cannot help with your requirements, we tell you. We then contact potential suppliers, compare the options and keep you informed about what is possible and what is not.

Do you stay involved after the terms are agreed?

Yes. We help coordinate the agreed trade and logistics between the counterparty, the logistics partners and your team, follow the agreed steps through to delivery and raise problems early. For that we need your receiving details, any site or port constraints, a named contact in your operations team and updates on any change to dates or destination.
